Guest Ratings & Reviews
The hotel exceeded our expectations with a cozy room, but it felt a bit cold for our taste. The service was outstanding, catering to our specific dietary needs with friendliness and helpfulness. The location was good, not right in the center but easily accessible by bus. Dining offered plenty of options but tended to be overcooked at times.
The hotel's room size doesn't match the website's description, making it challenging to move around, especially with a small bathroom. However, the daily room cleaning at 10 am was a nice touch. Despite not meeting the luxury profile, the rooms are noisy due to their roadside location.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room, despite being tiny, was surprisingly comfortable and even had a hair iron which was a nice touch. It was very clean, tidy, and warm, but there was a strange musty smell in the bathroom, possibly due to a backed-up shower drain. The service was superb overall, with the staff being extremely friendly and polite, especially Lara, who was particularly helpful. However, the presence of non-residents downstairs partying and some untidy individuals smoking in the entrance was a downside. The location was pretty central but a bit out of the city center, though still just a 20-30 minute walk to Princess Street. It was convenient, right next to a bus stop, but being in a semi-basement may not suit everyone. The dining experience was okay, but the wait for food was over 30 minutes, which was a bit frustrating. The standard English breakfast was disappointing, and a fuller English breakfast with sausages, bacon, eggs, tomatoes, and beans would have been appreciated. The slow service meant a delayed start to the day. Regarding facilities, not much detail was provided about them.
My stay at the hotel had its highs and lows. The rooms were quite small, with narrow beds that weren't the most comfortable. However, the ensuite was immaculately clean. Despite being advertised as luxurious, the bathroom was tiny, and the noisy street outside was a bother.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was very central, making it convenient for exploring the city, and the rooms were tidy with a comfortable double bed. While the hotel had a vibrant atmosphere with lots of non-residents around, the service was superb and the staff were absolutely lovely. The dining options, however, left something to be desired, but overall, it was a great value for the money.
